I like M1 more, but I think M2 potrays the mob life a bit better. You also get to see more of the negative side of being a mobster (from mobster perspective). I like Mafia 1 better. Mafia 2 had a better more fleshed out world and more freedom but Mafia 1 had a better story and characters.
